Girls Season will start on September 7th

U14-Ladies will have the weekend of April 19th/20th OFF

Mini Soccer u7-u11 will finish for the season on May 3rd, with Cup Finals being the final games on May 5th Bank Holiday Monday

U12-Ladies will continue until all seasons fixtures have been played.

Where  seasons are split there will only be 2 phases, Autumn & Winter with the Cup Competition in addition.

The Challenge Cup for Youth teams will be renamed The DGLL Challenge Trophy and the winners will keep the winning trophies each season.

The DGLL Open Age for season 24-25 will be split into 3 Divisions, the split to be determined but with Division 1 having a minimum of 9 teams and the 2 remaining divisions to be split based on final positions at end of Season 23-24.

This will reduce the number of fixtures for lower division teams to a more manageable level.

The league will also schedule more midweek fixtures in September & October for those Ladies teams with access to Floodlights, also in order to reduce fixture congestion and will extend the current scheduling process to include more “front loaded” home fixtures for those clubs we have identified from this season as having venues that struggle to cope with the weather.

U16’s

The DGLL will not be able to run at u16’s next year, further to our recent discussions in respect of the problems facing the current u15 division and the lack of teams/competition available brought on originally by the decision of 3 teams at u14 deciding to play up a year at u16's instead of moving through the year groups i can confirm that the following 3 out of 6 teams currently playing at u15 have resigned siting lack of competition.

Ripley Town

Hilton Harriers

Chellaston

That leaves just 3 teams and under those circumstances the DGLL is not going to be able to run a u16 division next season.

U10’s Season 2024-25

Further to our recent e mail regarding the possibility of running 9v9 at u10 and subsequent responses, the DGLL can confirm that no consensus was reached by the teams to play at 9v9 and as such the formats for season 24-25 are as previously listed below.

The DGLL Management Committee will discuss this further at a scheduled meeting and may introduce 9v9 games for teams towards the end of next season.

There is NO forfeit of League games by teams. Postponed games are rescheduled.

Teams MUST NOT assume that having no fixture on a given date means that a game will not be scheduled and are strongly advised to ensure that they check as early as possible as to player availability. The DGLL can add a fixture under FA Rules with a minimum of 5 (FIVE) days’ notice.

Clubs should be aware that whilst every effort will be made to accommodate these requests it may not be possible in all instances.

The league will provide referees for central venue games.

Teams at u13 and above playing home and away are required to source their own pitches and registered referees, except where the DGLL has agreed to provide a central venue pitch.
